Baisers des dames biscuits
Baisers des dames a IG bas - Low GI Ladie’s Kisses
Deliciously nutty, easy to make and perfect for a quick homemade treat, this originally Italian dessert comes from the shape of the biscuits which recalls
a kissing pair of lips.
Ingredients
125g softened butter
50g coconut sugar
Vanilla flavouring to taste
75g ground almonds
75g ground hazelnuts
125g plain or spelt flour
80/100g 70% dark chocolate
Method
Enjoy with tea or coffee, or even a little rum... Mine were a little ‘étouffé Chrétien’ as we say in France, ‘muffle Christians :)’ However, they were a little overcooked.
Keep a close eye on the baking time.

Vanilla flavouring to taste
75g ground almonds
75g ground hazelnuts
125g plain or spelt flour
80/100g 70% dark chocolate
Method
- Preheat the oven to 180°C
- Cut the butter into pieces.
- Add the vanilla, ground almonds and ground hazelnuts.
- Mix again.
- Add the flour and mix until you have a smooth texture.
- Then form balls of about 10g.
- The biscuits have to be flat on one side, so just put your finger over them and press a little bit.
- Place them on a baking tray lined with baking paper, spacing them apart.
- Bake for 10 to 11 minutes on the fan setting – no longer! (I left my first batch in for 15 minutes and found that they were overcooked).
- Keep a close eye on them while baking.
- Leave to cool completely before removing them from the tray. They will be soft when they come out of the oven, which is normal.
- Meanwhile, melt the chocolate in a bain-marie, then leave it to cool to room temperature, otherwise it will be too runny.
- Stick the biscuits together with ½ teaspoon of chocolate.
