Potatoes married to Bacon
for 6 people
6/8 potatoes
2 big brown onions
300g of lean bacon sliced finely
50g Butter
200g of creme fraiche
Salt and Pepper
Grated cheese ( Cheddar or gruyere or Jalsberg)
Cut the potatoes in very fine slices (1/2 cm)
Cut the onions in very fine slices
In a oven proof tin :
And hop! in the oven at 200 degrees for 20 minutes
Then low down the over to 175 for 1h.

- Butter the inside of the tin.
- Cover the bottom with one layer of potatoes (make sure they overlap a little bit ).
- Cover the potatoes with a layer of onions.
- Then a layer of potatoes.
- Then add all the bacon evenly.
- Cover the bacon with the creme fraiche.
- Layer the onions again and then the last layer of potatoes.
- Cover with grated cheese.
- Few nuts of butter on the top.
And hop! in the oven at 200 degrees for 20 minutes
Then low down the over to 175 for 1h.
