SALTED CAKE
Serve 6-8
Ingredients
250g self raising flour
5 eggs
1 glass of olive Oil
1 glass of white wine
150/200g ham, small cubes
400g or a jar of green pitted Olives
150-200g grated cheese ( Gruyere or cheddar, or both)

Very good cold, for lunch, picnic, hungry teenagers

Method
- Preheat the oven (220C/425F )
- Beat the flour and the 5 eggs together
- Add oil and wine at the same time to obtain a smooth mixture ( thick )
- Cut the ham into small cubes and add to the mixture
- add green olives and gretted cheese - Mix together
- Put the preparation into a cake baking dish
- Bake in the oven for about 50 minutes
- After 35/42 minutes, have a look and don't hesitate to cover it with an aluminium sheet if the top is too brown
- Plunge a knife in the heart of the cake to see if it well cooked ( a little bit of humidity is great)
- Serve hot or cold with a green salad
